VAT Bridging Software for HMRC MTD

Making Tax Digital - Changes for VAT Registered Businesses

The UK government's recent change to tax legislation called "Making Tax Digital" (MTD) required all VAT registered businesses to start using a recognised and up-to-date accounting package from 1st April 2019. Submission of VAT Returns to HMRC will then happen directly from your accounts software. There was a relaxed 'soft-landing' period from 1st April 2019 to 1st April 2021 which has now ended. VAT registered businesses must now use appropriate software to upload their VAT Returns.

Our Bridging Software was approved by HMRC in April 2019.

All VAT registered businesses with a taxable turnover of or above the UK VAT registration threshold (currently £85,00) must register for MTD by April 1st 2019 (or before your next VAT Return after that date). If you need more information, please call HMRC on 0300 200 3700.

June 2021 Update

Two years on and HMRC have implemented new security restrictions for developers and we have developed an update to meet these requirements. Customers who purchased the MTD software since June 2020 will receive a free update. Customers who purchased the MTD software prior to that will need to purchase the new version.
